2 men arrested in Dundee car chase after shooting at car, crashing into parked cars – Fox 12 Oregon


NEWBERG Ore. (KPTV) – Two men were arrested on Sunday night after allegedly shooting at another car, fleeing police, and crashing into several parked cars, according to the Newberg-Dundee Police Department (NDPD).

NDPD officers had responded Sunday night after a caller reported seeing two cars possibly part of a road rage incident, where a person in one of the cars shot at the other car near the intersection of Highway 99 West and 11th Street in Dundee.

The caller said the two cars were driving towards Newberg.

An officer intercepted a car matching the description as it sped recklessly through downtown Newberg.

A traffic stop was reportedly attempted but the driver did not stop and a car chase ensued.

The chase ended when the suspect’s car crashed into multiple parked cars in the 1100 block of North Meridian Street in Newberg.

A 47-year-old man was inside one of the parked cars the suspect crashed into and was taken to the hospital with significant injuries.

The suspected car had two men inside, both of whom were arrested and guns were found in the car.

Driver 43-year-old William Gabrielsen of Hillsboro was charged with eluding police, third-degree assault, failure to perform duties of a driver to an injured person, two counts of felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, failure to perform duties of a driver for damaged property, driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, criminal driving while having a suspended license, three counts of second-degree criminal mischief, three counts of reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, and interfering with a police officer.

Gabrielsen’s passenger, 20-year-old Neo Gabrielsen of Hillsboro was arrested on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, hindering prosecution, and unlawful use of a weapon.
