In his note, Pu claimed that all the smartphones in the iPhone 17 series will have a 24-megapixel selfie camera, which is twice the resolution that users get in the selfie camera in the present iPhone 16 lineup, including the most expensive iPhone 16 Pro Max, MacRumors reported.
While all four iPhone 16 models are equipped with a 12-megapixel front camera, those in line for the iPhone 17 series will get a huge upgrade in terms of the selfie camera. This will be for all the four devices — iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, the expert said.
On the other hand, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that at least one of the models in the iPhone 17 lineup will be equipped with a 24-megapixel front camera, adding that this upgrade will “significantly improve the image quality.”
On the back panel, there is another improvement for the telephoto lens in the Pro versions — iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. This time, users will get a 48-megapixel snapper and not the 12-megapixel telephoto lens that they currently see on iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max versions.
