Apple Harvest Festival 2024 is here – The Ithaca Voice

ITHACA, N.Y. — This year’s Apple Harvest Festival will look slightly different thanks to a new layout, but there will be the same festival staples as always. For instance, visitors can rest assured there will be apple cider donuts “out the wazoo,” according to Downtown Ithaca Alliance Executive Director Nan Rohrer.

The annual fall celebration will once again feature a slew of musical performances to accompany the traditional festival offerings of food and craft vendors on and adjacent to the Commons.

The festivities kick off on Friday, Sept. 27 at 12 p.m. until 6 p.m., then from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Music performances will be held on several stages throughout the festival (see map below), in addition to an area designated for buskers and smaller artists to perform at the western end of the Commons.

A full schedule of performances can be seen here.

Rohrer said organizers chose the new layout, with a further reach down West State Street than in years past, to reduce the number of people crossing busy thoroughfares like East Seneca Street during the festival. An added benefit, she said, is that the new layout emphasizes the State Street corridor more prominently, a central goal as city officials look to facilitate the corridor’s economic growth and build a stronger connection between downtown and the West End.
