Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas, US, has recently hosted a demonstration of SeeTrue’s AI-based airport security screening technology.
The demonstration at the Innovation Checkpoint in LAS was conducted by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate’s (S&T) Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL).
As part of the field operational assessment, the solution was integrated into the passenger-accessible property screening process.
SeeTrue’s solution was chosen for a live demonstration at the airport after successful lab trials.
The solution was chosen in May last year, for a complete evaluation under a Cooperative Research & Development Agreement (CRADA) with DHS S&T’s TSL.
The live demonstration is intended to assess its performance in a real-world environment.

The system works in conjunction with Computed Tomography scanners, automatically identifying prohibited items and potentially enhancing the security and efficiency of TSA operations.
SeeTrue co-founder and CEO, Assaf Frenkel said: “We are excited to work with DHS S&T and TSA to bring open architecture and artificial intelligence into a live demonstration on our journey to make screening fast and secure.
“We are grateful to DHS S&T’s TSL and TSA ITF for making this a reality.”
SeeTrue, which is one of the leaders in detection of prohibited items and threats, leverages AI technology to streamline security screening processes at various points of entry, including airports and seaports.
The company’s automatic threat detection software is already in use worldwide, integrated with X-ray and CT systems to ensure secure and efficient operations.
In April this year, SeeTrue announced the implementation of its technology at Pafos Airport, following a successful deployment at Larnaka Airport by Hermes Airports Group.
