Sony finally makes Xperia 1 VI's 'Scarlet' color widely available

The Sony Xperia 1 VI flagship launched in several colors globally, but one color was missing. The color in question is called ‘Scarlet’, and the Sony Xperia 1 VI is now finally widely available in that color.

The Sony Xperia 1 VI is finally available in ‘Scarlet’ color outside of its homeland

The Scarlet color is basically a red color, and it was available only in Japan until now. So it was up for grabs only in Sony’s homeland. Well, this color variant of the Sony Xperia 1 VI can now be purchased across Europe.

This change comes 5 months after the initial launch of the Xperia 1 VI flagship. Well, exactly 5 months after, as the phone was announced on May 15. This color is not only red, but it has a matte texture over both the glass and the frame. And yes, the frame is also red-colored.

One thing to note is that this color variant comes in one configuration only. You’ll be able to get it with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It’s also available only via the Sony Store, at least for now.

First deliveries kick off today

Sony says that first deliveries are scheduled for today, October 15 in the UK, and October 17 in Germany. Those are not the only two European markets that the device will be available in, though, of course.

What about the price? Well, in the UK, the device is priced at £1,399. In Germany, and probably the rest of markets in Europe that it will be available in, the phone is priced at €1,499.

For those of you who are wondering what’s going on with the US availability, well, the phone itself is not available in the States, so this color variant won’t be making its way there either. There’s always a chance Sony will change things up, but that’s highly unlikely at this point.

The Sony Xperia 1 VI has a 6.5-inch fullHD+ 120Hz OLED display, while it’s fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It has a compelling camera setup on the back, and it comes with 12GB of RAM. Click here if you’d like to know more about the device.
