Galaxy S25 series aluminum dummies reveal design & dimensions

The Galaxy S25 series is expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2025. The lineup will debut One UI 7 as one of the biggest changes to Samsung’s custom Android skin in years. However, all clues suggest that the company will stick to a conservative design approach, only refining certain details. A new leak shows the Galaxy S25 Plus in aluminum dummy form and compares it to the previously leaked vanilla and Ultra variants.

There are no big surprises in the look of the Galaxy S25 series. The company will maintain the same minimalist design language that debuted in the Galaxy S23 lineup. This includes maintaining equal bezels on all sides of the display and arranging the rear camera sensors individually, rather than enclosing them in a module. We also see design elements from recent models, such as the flat sides.

Aluminum dummies show off the design and dimensions of the Galaxy S25 series

Samsung’s upcoming flagships are expected to feature reduced bezels compared to the previous generation. The report claims that the dimensions of the S25 Plus are 158.44 x 75.79 x 7.35 mm, indicating a slimmer design compared to the S24 Plus (7.7 mm). The vanilla S25 will be even slimmer, boasting dimensions of 146.94 x 70.46 x 7.25 mm (7.6 mm thick for the vanilla S23).

The Galaxy S25 Ultra will be the model where Samsung goes all out. Its design will be bulkier than the other variants, with dimensions of 162.82 x 77.65 x 8.25 mm. However, remember that Samsung’s Ultras also have to make room to store and charge the S Pen. So, it’s a technological feat that everything is contained in those dimensions. Still, it will be thinner than the Galaxy S24 Ultra at 8.6 mm thick.

The aluminum dummies of the Galaxy S25 series show another design difference from the Ultra model. The more premium and expensive version will have sharper, more angular corners. This gives a “blocky” feel that hopefully won’t result in worse one-handed usability. After all, there were already some users complaining that the corners of the Galaxy S24 Ultra were digging into the palm of their hands.
