The 2025 Volvo EX30 may end up being a game-changer, but that will take at least a year to figure out.

3 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV LT

Heading into its second year, the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV brings affordability and practicality to the compact crossover EV segment, combining modern design with eco-friendly performance, and offering families and daily commuters a versatile, emission-free option. You won’t see much of a power difference between the front-drive Toyota bZ4X and its AWD version. Adding the second motor adds just 66 pounds to the weight of the EV, but it impacts range substantially, dropping as low as 222 miles. Power doesn’t see much movement, rising only to 214 horses and 248 pound-feet, but the Toyota bZ4X is notable as the most efficient Japanese EV.​​​​​​​
