A 23-car entry list has been revealed for next month’s FIA GT World Cup in Macau, featuring efforts from Mercedes-AMG, Lamborghini, Audi, Porsche, BMW and Ferrari.
The entry for the end-of-season event on the famous Guia Circuit on Nov. 14-17 sees an increase in three cars compared to the 2023 running, while Lamborghini returns to Macau for the first time since the 2017 edition.
All six former event winners return, headlined by defending champion Raffaele Marciello, who will be contesting the race for the first time in BMW machinery.
Marciello will carry the No. 1 on his TORO Racing powered by MCG-entered BMW M4 GT3, with the MCG referring to the Motorsport Competence Group that runs long-time BMW affiliate ROWE Racing in European competition.
The Italian is joined in representing the Bavarian marque by his fellow factory drivers, Augusto Farfus, Sheldon van der Linde and Dries Vanthoor.
Van der Linde and Vanthoor – returning to Macau for the first time since 2019 – will race for Team WRT, while Farfus will race for Chinese outfit Team KRC.
Rival German brands Porsche, Mercedes-AMG and Audi all announced their linueps for Macau on Monday, with Porsche having the largest presence at five cars.
BMW, Mercedes-AMG and Audi have four cars apiece, while entering three cars each are Italian manufacturers Ferrari and Lamborghini.
Ferrari FIA World Endurance Championship stars Antonio Fuoco and Yifei Ye join the returning Daniel Serra aboard the marque’s trio of Ferrari 296 GT3s, with two to be run by Harmony Racing and one, Fuoco’s entry, to be run by AF Corse.
Lamborghini has two Huracan GT3 EVO2s entered by Theodore Racing, which has close links to the Prema/Iron Lynx organization, for Edoardo Mortara and Matteo Cairoli, and an additional car for Luca Engstler with the family-run Team Engstler squad.
Track action for the FIA GT World Cup will comprise two 30-minute practice sessions, a qualifying session of the same length, a 12-lap qualifying race and a 16-lap main race.
