Getting around has never been easier, thanks to Metro Flex, King County Metro’s on-demand neighborhood transit service. Whether you’re heading out for errands, meeting friends, or commuting to work, Metro Flex offers an affordable and convenient way to get where you need to go!
With a flat fare of just $2.75, the same as a Metro bus ride, Metro Flex provides a comfortable and flexible transportation option. Payment can be made through the Metro Flex app or by phone with a credit or debit card. Reduced fares are available for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and people with lower incomes. Youth 18 and under always ride free, making Metro Flex accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds.
Metro Flex operates in many popular neighborhoods across King County, including:
- Delridge/South Park
- Issaquah/Sammamish
- Juanita
- Kent
- Northshore
- Othello, Rainier Beach, Skyway, Renton Highlands, and Tukwila
The recent expansion into the Northshore region in September means routes reach residents and visitors in Brier, Lake Forest Park, Mountlake Terrace, and North Kenmore.
Metro Flex also works with existing fare payment methods such as ORCA, ORCA LIFT, and the Transit GO Ticket app, allowing easy transfers between Metro Flex and Metro buses, Sound Transit LINK light rail trains, Sounder trains, and other transit modes.
Metro Flex is part of King County Metro’s wider social and environmental public transportation initiatives designed to improve access for underserved communities while reducing vehicle-related pollution.

Booking a ride with Metro Flex is simple—just use the Metro Flex app to request a ride for yourself and up to four passengers. After submitting your request, the app provides an estimated arrival time and a nearby pickup location. The app also includes real-time vehicle tracking and up-to-date trip information, keeping you informed at all times.
