EPD: Cars broken into, guns stolen outside Bally’s Casino – 14 News WFIE Evansville


EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Police are investigating a small string of thefts that happened outside Bally’s Casino early Friday morning.

Around 2:15 a.m., officers were called to the north parking lot of the casino for a theft report.

Officers say they arrived and found the victim’s blue Dodge Charger with a shattered back left window and glass all over the ground and inside the vehicle.

The victim told police that his girlfriend’s loaded 9mm handgun was stolen from inside the car.

Another victim at the parking lot also spoke with police and reported their gun was stolen too.

According to police, the victim went to their parked Ford Fusion around 1:45 a.m. and discovered their back left window was removed and lying next to the car.

Officers say the victim had a loaded 9mm handgun stolen from their vehicle as well.

Both victims were given a case number. An investigation is ongoing.
