The OnePlus Open has started receiving Android 15 with OxygenOS 15 on top of it. This is a global rollout, by the way, and it follows the Android 15 rollout for the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R.
Android 15 has started rolling out to the OnePlus Open… with OxygenOS 15
First and foremost, do note that this rollout is staged. In other words, not everyone is getting it at once, so you may have to wait a bit until it drops. It could take a week or two for everyone to get it if everything goes according to plan.
Now, in addition to core Android 15 changes, this update also delivers a ton of OxygenOS-related improvements. That’s what we’ll focus on here, as that’s what OnePlus mentioned in its changelog.
You can check out the entire changelog in the gallery below the article. We’ll focus on some of the most notable changes in the rest of the article. The changelog is quite long, by the way, so brace yourselves.
OnePlus has added the industry’s first parallel processing architecture
With this update, OnePlus introduced the industry’s first parallel processing architecture. It’s offering “parallel response and unified rendering to elevate multi-app switching to a new level”. That is even true under extreme usage conditions. That way, smooth performance should be there at all times.
Parallel animation for a wider range of scenarios has been added too. New widgets, components, and folders have been issued too, along with new, smoother animations.
AI Retouch and AI Notes features have been added too. You can now enhance the clarity of blurry images, erase reflections from images, and much, much more as part of these two features.
Flux themes are included, as are Live Alerts
OnePlus also introduced Flux themes with this update. You can customize these themes with your wallpapers to get a unique-looking background. Customizations for Always-On Display, Lock screen, and Home screen have also been added.
Live Alerts have also been added, which is essentially OnePlus’ take on Apple’s Dynamic Island. New Floating Window and Split View gestures have been added, and the entire experience has been improved.
There are many more changes issued to the OnePlus Open with this update, check out the gallery below for all information.
