Liposuction Provider Sono Bello Sued Over Facebook Data Sharing – Bloomberg Law


Nationwide liposuction provider Sono Bello disclosed the personal information of patients to Meta Platforms Inc. without their consent in violation of state and federal privacy laws, a proposed federal class action said.

Plaintiff T.S. alleges that Sono Bello incorporated the Meta pixel on its website, a snippet of computer code that allowed Meta’s Facebook unit to collect personal health data arising from consumers’ interactions with the site.

Information disclosed to Facebook included health conditions for which treatment was sought, details of personal appearance, health histories, and information about patients’ body-image struggles, according to a complaint filed Monday in the US …
