Apple released their latest update, iOS 18.1.1, last week which features new security content for Safari that will be in the installation.
The Apple Support page said the update should fix bugs that were in JavaScript Core and on Webkit. Apple said arbitrary code execution, which is when cyber hackers and attackers expose a problem within a system, was in some maliciously crafted web content. Apple said the new update should this fix problem with improved checks.
Apple also said the iOS update should protect users from a cross site scripting attack, which can be exploited on Intel-based Mac systems.
The new iOS update released on Nov. 19, 2024. Apple products such as all iPhones after and including XS, iPad Pro 13-inch, iPad Pro 12.9-inch 3rd generation and later, iPad Pro 11-inch 1st generation and later, iPad Air 3rd generation and later, iPad 7th generation and later and iPad mini 5th generation and later have the update available.
There are also 18.1.1 updates available for macOS Ventura and macOS Sonoma which are in the Safari 18.1.1 update which features the same bug solutions. The visionOS 2.1.1 update for the Apple Vision Pro device also contains the same updates.
How to install latest update
Apple gives instructions on their support page on how users can update their products. Apple recommends you back up your device with iCloud or using your computer before starting the process.
The owner of the device must be on Wi-Fi before continuing with the procedure. Apple then says to

Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.

If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.

Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now.
What was new in iOS 18?
Apple’s latest update attempts to fix problems that were featured in their iOS 18 that became available this past September.
The feature contains Apple Intelligence, which allows users to “prioritize and summarize notifications, mail, and messages, let you interact with Siri in new and more natural ways, search your photo library when you describe what you want to find, draw from information on your iPhone to simplify everyday tasks, and more,” according to Apple’s web page.
Users can now lock or hide apps on their iPhone, which can only be unlocked with a password or Face ID.
New updates were added to the photos app. New albums and collections of photos are available for recent travel experiences, people and pets.
Another new feature was created in iOS 18 that puts all passwords and credentials into one place.
Apple maps now shows detailed hike trail networks on some regional and national parks that allows people to create their own walking or hiking route.
Apple Intelligence is a type of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) that seems to be involved in all aspects of technology.
A new update is expected in December although no details have been provided by the company yet.
