Fourth person arrested for October Pitt County auto dealership thefts – WITN


GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A fourth person is facing charges surrounding the theft of seven cars from a Pitt County auto dealership in October.

The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office says that Tyvon Thompson, 21, of Turkey, North Carolina, was charged with conspiracy, breaking & entering, safe cracking, larceny after breaking & entering, seven counts of larceny of a motor vehicle, and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

Thompson was also charged with breaking & entering and larceny after breaking & entering on Wake County warrants.

Thompson was released from the Sampson County Detention Center after posting a $20,000 secured bond.

It was back on October 28th that deputies went to D & S Auto Source, LLC at 5634 U.S. 13 near Farmville and found that seven vehicles had been stolen.

Ellis Wilson, 27, of Faison, Joshua Hobbs, 24, of Pikeville, and Robert Drake, 31, of Tukey, North Carolina, were previously arrested and charged with the same charges Thompson is facing.
