TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A rollover crash was caught on camera. The incident left quite the scene on Western Avenue in Toledo Monday morning.
It happened between Langdon and Chapin streets, and nearby residents felt frustrated and worried about their safety.
13 Action News obtained security footage showing the moments leading up to the crash. It shows a car around 6:45 a.m. Monday driving on Western Avenue toward the Anthony Wayne Trail. The car slams into one parked car on the side of the road, starts to roll and then hits another parked car, flipping onto its hood.
Dustan Miller is the owner of both vehicles that were hit.
“I was just getting up, getting ready to take the kids to school,” Miller said. “We heard a loud crash, came outside and saw a vehicle rolled over.”
Miller said that careless driving and speeding happen frequently on Western Avenue and wants city officials to take action.
“Do something, enforce laws that are given,” Miller said. “It’s right at the start of school time. Why wouldn’t you have someone out here, making sure someone is doing something.”
The Toledo Police Department said there were minor injuries.
TPD said that Western Avenue was shut down from Langdon to Chapin for a period Monday morning, as crews cleaned up the debris.
The crash is under investigation.
