The OnePlus 13R will launch on December 26, but under a different name. We’re talking about the OnePlus Ace 5 here, which will be the OnePlus 13R’s name in China. The global model, with the OnePlus 13R name, is coming on January 7.

With that being said, the OnePlus Ace 5 will launch alongside the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro in China. OnePlus has confirmed the launch date, while we also know what the two phones will look like, their color variants, and even their specs.
If you check out the two images below, you’ll see the color options of the two phones. The Ace 5 is first, and is followed by the Ace 5 Pro. The two phones will look the same, yes, but will be available in different color combos.

With that being said, the OnePlus Ace 5 will be inferior to the Ace 5 Pro. The latter will utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite, compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 inside the Ace 5. We’re not sure why is OnePlus even launching the ‘Pro’ model considering that the OnePlus 13 exists, but there you go. The ‘Pro’ variant will almost certainly remain exclusive to China.
The ‘Pro’ model will have a better SoC, a better third camera, and a smaller battery with slightly faster charging. Well, based on the specs. Let’s go over them.
A 6.78-inch 2780 x 1264 LTPO AMOLED display is expected on both smartphones. The SoC difference is something we’ve already mentioned, while both devices are coming in 12GB and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM variants. UFS 4.0 flash storage will be on offer as well.
Android 15 will come pre-installed on the devices, along with ColorOS 15. A 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.8 aperture, OIS) will be backed by an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. The third camera on the OnePlus Ace 5 will be a 2-megapixel macro unit. A 50-megapixel 2x telephoto camera will be included on the ‘Pro’ model as the third camera.
The OnePlus Ace 5 will include a 6,415mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging. The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro will feature a 6,100mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC charging. Do note that these are rumors for the time being.
