Get Ready, Galaxy S25 Pre-Orders Start January 24

As you are undoubtedly already aware, Samsung is releasing the Galaxy S25 next month. And now, thanks to a new report, it appears that pre-orders for the new Galaxy S25 series will start very soon after the announcement – on January 24.

This means that if the rumors are true, pre-orders will open two days after Unpacked – essentially, that Friday. That’s a bit odd for Samsung, as they typically open pre-orders immediately after Unpacked is over. The report also mentions that the pre-order time period will last from January 24 until February 3. Meaning that the official launch will be February 4. This does move the shipping back a week, compared to the Galaxy S24. This makes sense, since Unpacked has also been moved back a week.

Samsung could announce 4 phones at Unpacked

Samsung could be announcing four phones at unpacked, as the leaked invitation is pointing at. We’re most likely getting the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra. The fourth phone is rumored to be the Galaxy S25 Slim. Which is set to be a pretty thin device, that won’t sacrifice the flagship performance of the other Galaxy S25 models.

The “Slim” phone seems to be a new trend that is starting in 2025, as the iPhone is also rumored to be launching a slim model called the iPhone 17 Air.

Moving over to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, we’re not expecting any major changes here, but it will offer 16GB of RAM on the higher-end 512GB and 1TB models – meaning it will still start at 256GB. This is more RAM than Samsung has offered in the past few years on the Ultra model. Why? Likely for AI features. Samsung is also rumored to be doubling down on Galaxy AI, introducing even more Galaxy AI features to the Galaxy S25 series this year.

Samsung should be sending out official event invites pretty soon, since we are less than a month away from Unpacked now.
