TCL has made big strides in the US market for TVs in the last several years (it also makes projectors), and it’s promising to introduce some exciting stuff with the 2025 models of its QM6K series TV options.
Announced at CES 2025, TCL is introducing the latest models of the QM6K for its QD-Mini LED TV offerings. Boasting big improvements to brightness, the 2025 TCL QM6K TV series is, as ever, focused on providing consumers with leading TV technology and features at unmatched prices. This is a factor that TCL is extremely proud of. Its capability to offer affordable prices on feature-packed TVs.
“I’m proud to say that TCL secured its position as top 2 best-selling TV brand for the sixth consecutive year and just received a 2025 Circana Consumer Electronics Performance Award for Top Increase in TV Market Share in North America. On the heels of such a successful year, 2025 will take us to new heights as a dominant player in the CE industry, continuously changing the game with TCL’s groundbreaking innovation,” said TCL Executive Vice President of North America Chris Hamdorf.
The 2025 TCL QM6K TV has a new LED chip that increases brightness output
TCL is making quite a few improvements to its best-selling TVs, and one of those improvements is to the brightness. The 2025 models utilize a new Super High Energy LED chip that increases the brightness by up to 53%. This is compared to the 2024 series. TCL also says that light efficiency has been improved by 10%.
The boost to brightness is massive, and that’s great for the consumer. However, increasing the brightness output by that much requires some extra tech. TCL says its development team at Pengu Lab created a new Condensed Micro Lens to tackle the issue. With this lens, the LEDs have enhanced stability and now a narrower light path for more precise light control. The Quantum Dot technology has been improved as well. TCL states that its Quantum Crystals can now produce over one billion colors.
The end result is a significantly brighter TV with richer, more vibrant colors.
These new TVs will go all the way up to 98 inches
TCL hasn’t announced any release dates yet, but it has announced prices, sizes, and features. Starting at 50 inches, the 2025 QM6K series will go all the way up to 98 inches, TCL’s XXL size. Prices will start at $749.99, with the 98-inch model costing a surprisingly low $3,499.99.
As for features, brightness, and color reproduction aren’t the only features to look out for on these new TVs. TCL is also boasting things like Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision IQ. The new TVs will also now come with a native 144Hz refresh rate, and TCL’s Game Accelerator is getting a boost to 288 VRR. Making this year’s models excellent options for gamers of any budget. They also come with several other new features like hands-free voice control, an Onkyo 2.1 speaker system, a Dolby Vision Filmmaker Mode, and a Sleep Sounds Mode.
