SwitchBot Unveils New Household Robots, Smart Lock, at CES 2025

Are you a tech lover in the truest form if you’re not following all the things that happen at CES every year? To be fair, there’s way too much for a single person to keep track of, but you can always keep your eye on the most notable releases, and if you can’t do it yourself, we’re here to help.

SwitchBot, a company that specializes in smart home automation and retrofitting, is showcasing several new products at CES 2025. That includes the K20+ Pro, a multitasking household robot; the S20 Pro, a floor-cleaning robot; and the Lock Ultra for retrofitting door locks.

We’ve seen a whole lot of robot vacuums (the general term, even though a bunch of the more expensive models mop too)—heck, the next gadget we’re going to talk about is one of them. However, what I can definitely say most of us haven’t seen is a “multitasking household robot”. I mean, that sort of makes sense, seeing as SwitchBot says its K20+ Pro is the world’s first.

It has the same build as a robot vacuum, and unsurprisingly, it does that. That’s just one aspect of its functionality though. With various attachments, you can attach an air purifier, a circulator fan, a platform for payloads, a security camera, and a stand for tablets to help you stay hands-free.

The K20+ Pro navigates around your house by creating a map of the house using D-ToF Lidar and dual lasers. It can also be integrated with smart home assistants like Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri; so, it covers the most popular options. The robot will be unveiled by SwitchBot later in the year.

The K20+ Pro might be overwhelming for those who simply want a robot to keep their floors clean. That’s why SwitchBot also released the S20 Pro, which builds on what the S10 brought to the table.

With the SwitchBot S20 Pro, you get a dual-extension design, which each one holding a side brush that can be extended out to clean right into the corners that the average circular robot vacuum can’t get to. There is also an extendable roller mop to finish the job in your house’s corners.

The S20 Pro uses a special brush design to prevent hair from tangling and impacting its cleaning. It also uses RinseSync tech for self-cleaning, making sure that the mop is clean for each stroke it makes. Of course, it has a base station which it can dock into on its own, and since the S20 Pro is Matter-certified, connecting it to smart devices is seamless.

The SwitchBot Lock Ultra Makes Retrofitting Home Security Super Easy

With the SwitchBot Lock Ultra, you don’t need to worry about getting an entirely new door or having to pull out the old lock and install a new one. When it comes to retrofitting, SwitchBot has it covered, and you’ll be able to use the Lock Ultra pretty easily with 99.9% of standard locks; deadbolt, mortise, and Jimmy Proof included.

The Lock Ultra is versatile. Whether you want to unlock the door with an NFC access card, voice commands via popular smart assistants, your fingerprint, or an app, it has you covered. It supports a total of 16 different methods and boasts a triple-power systems to make sure that you’re never locked out because of a power outage.
