ASUS unveils 2025 ROG laptops powered by RTX 50-Series GPUs

With CES coming to a close, there was a lot of new tech devices announced and that includes the 2025 lineup of ROG gaming laptops from ASUS, powered by the RTX 50-series GPUs that NVIDIA announced this week as well.

NVIDIA officially announced the GeForce RTX 50-series GPUs on the evening of January 6. Shortly after, brands like Acer, Razer, and others began announcing their new gaming laptops with these new graphics cards. ASUS was among those brands and it has a whole range of laptops coming from across its ROG line.

This includes some from the ROG Strix line and the more slim and portable Zephyrus line. ASUS is also announcing a new ROG Flow device with the Z13. The ROG Flow Z13 won’t come with a GeForce RTX 50-series GPU inside. Instead, it’ll come powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, with AMD Radeon 8060S for graphics. However, ASUS is also going to be launching new models of the ROG XG Mobile. There will be two models of this. One powered by the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, and one powered by the GeForce RTX 5090.

The ROG Flow Z13 will be launching in Canada in February starting at C$2,999. The two new ROG XG Mobile devices won’t launch till later this year. The prices for those will be C$1,499 for the RTX 5070 Ti model, and C$2,999 for the RTX 5090 model. In other words, getting set up with the ROG Flow Z13 and one of the XG Mobile eGPUs is going to be fairly expensive. But that’s the price you pay for portability and power.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 will be the company’s most expensive RTX 50-series laptop

The RTX 50-series GPUs will be available across most if not all of ASUS’s 2025 lineup, so no matter what your budget is, you should be able to find something that will fit within it. If that budget happens to be quite high, then you may want to look at the ROG Zephyrus G16. This will be ASUS’s most expensive laptop out of the ones it recently announced. Starting at C$4,299, the ROG Zephyrus G16 can come with up to an RTX 5090 mobile GPU. It can also come with up to 64GB of RAM and up to 2TB of storage.

The base GPU for this laptop will be the RTX 5070 Ti. Keep in mind these are prices for Canada as ASUS hasn’t announced US pricing or availability yet. That being said, the US pricing is sure to be expensive as well. A big reason for this is no doubt the thinness of the laptop. Having portability and top-tier performance doesn’t come cheap. Those looking to spend a little less can opt for the G14 model, which has a lower starting cost of C$3,699. This will also come with an RTX 5070 Ti, but can only go up to an RTX 5080.

As for the ROG Strix models, ASUS is announcing refreshed versions of the ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18. Both of these laptops can come with up to an RTX 5090, 4TB of storage, and 64GB of RAM. Additionally, it has the ROG Strix 16 and 18 which both have the RTX 5070 Ti. The 16-inch model can scale up to the RTX 5080 though.

US pricing and availability has not been announced yet

While ASUS has announced its new RTX 50-series laptops this week, it hasn’t announced pricing or availability for the US market. Most if not all of these products should be coming to the US. It’s just unclear what they will cost and when they will launch.

With some of these launching in Canada starting in February, and others as late as April, it shouldn’t be too long before they come to the US as well.
