Real-life images show OPPO Find N5's staggering thinness

The alleged OPPO Find N5 has just surfaced in real-life images, and they depict how truly thin the device is. The company’s CEO, Pete Lau, confirmed that this phone will become the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone.

The OPPO Find N5 appears in real-life images, showing off its staggering thinness

If you check out the images in the gallery below, you’ll see the leaked images. The first one is the most interesting one, as it shows the device in a folded form. This image clearly shows that the Find N5 will be notably thinner than the Find N3.

The HONOR Magic V3 is currently the thinnest book-style foldable smartphone out there. It is 4.4mm thick when unfolded, and 9.3mm when folded. The OPPO Find N5 will seemingly trump the Magic V3, based on Pete Lau’s words. We just don’t know if it will trump it in both folded and unfolded forms, but chances are that will be the case.

OPPO will stick with a flat frame

These images also show that OPPO will stick with a flat frame, which was to be expected. It’s a different approach compared to the Magic V3, but it may make the device more comfortable to hold, at least based on my experience with the OPPO Find N3.

The second image in the gallery shows the device’s back side in a protective case. This case is made to hide the phone’s design, so it doesn’t reveal much. What we can see is that three cameras will be placed on the back, while one of them will be a periscope telephoto unit. This is what we expected based on rumors.

Those cameras will also be placed in two rows, so a camera island similar to the one on the OnePlus 13 is a possibility, we’ll see.

The third image in the gallery gives us a look at the phone’s unfolded form. Well, we can see one corner of the device, and two coins stacked next to it. This is supposed to show how thin the device is when unfolded.

The device will launch next month

The OPPO Find N5 will become official next month, in February. Pete Lau confirmed as much yesterday, and he did that both via Weibo and global social media channels. So… it’s likely coming to both China and global markets in February. Do note that the OnePlus Open 2 may borrow this design.
