Next week, Samsung is poised to unveil the Galaxy S25 lineup. Consisting of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra at Unpacked in San Jose. However, there is one other Galaxy S25 model coming, though it might not be unveiled next week. And that is the Galaxy S25 Slim. This appears to be a trend that we’ll see more in 2025, where manufacturers are launching new “Slim” models. Apple is also rumored to be doing the same with an iPhone 17 Air.
This leak here, comes from Onleaks and SmartPrix, who say that the dimensions of the Galaxy S25 Slim will be 159 x 76 x 6.4mm. That would make it a tad thicker than the iPhone 17 Air, according to its rumors. That would also make the height and width similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra (rumored), though quite a bit thinner with almost two millimeters shaved off.
Surprisingly, even at 6.4mm, this would not be the slimmest Samsung phone that has ever launched. The Galaxy A8 from 2015 would still hold that record at 5.9mm.
This slim frame would still house a Snapdragon 8 Elite
While rumors and leaks haven’t been as abundant about the Galaxy S25 Slim (leading us to believe that it won’t be unveiled next week), we do expect it to sport the same internals as the rest of the Galaxy S25 lineup. That would include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and likely 12GB of RAM with at least 128GB of storage. Seeing a Snapdragon 8 Elite in such a small chassis would be rather interesting, considering how warm it runs.
It could also include a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide and a 50-megapixel 3.5x optical telephoto lens. Which means that this one would likely be priced closer to the Galaxy S25 Ultra than the regular Galaxy S25. However, it does sound like this might not actually launch until later this year, maybe in the fall when the “FE” models are typically launched.
