The clock is ticking fast, and we are only a day away from the Galaxy Unpacked event. Ahead of the big launch, Samsung has yet again confirmed that the Galaxy S25 series will launch with Android 15-based One UI 7. That’s not all; we now also know the release timeline of the stable One UI 7 update for other Galaxy S series smartphones.
The Galaxy S25 series will launch with One UI 7, which will later expand to other Galaxy phones
Besides announcing the launch of the Galaxy S25 series with One UI 7, Samsung added that the stable One UI 7 update will be available to all other eligible Galaxy S series phones by the end of the first quarter of 2025. That means, Samsung is likely to wrap up the rollout of One UI 7 for those phones by March 31st.
The company also adds that the stable One UI 7 update will “sequentially” roll out to other eligible Galaxy smartphones. In this phase, Samsung might also push the stable One UI 7 update to its Android tablets. Since these details are coming from Samsung Korea, the release timeline may apply to that region.
Considering Samsung’s track record, it’s safe to say that a similar schedule might be applicable globally. So, if you live outside of South Korea, expect the stable One UI 7 update around the aforementioned time.
The One UI 7 beta program was more successful than the One UI 6 beta program
Moving on, Samsung mentioned that the One UI 7 beta has been its most successful beta program to date. The first One UI 7 beta registration closed at twice the rate of the One UI 6 beta.
The company also talked about some AI features that grabbed the attention during the testing phase. Furthermore, the company assured that it is working to improve them based on user feedback.
