Area students receive degrees from NDSU

North Dakota State University awarded 810 degrees in fall 2024, including the following local students.

An asterisk(*) indicates students who graduated with honors. A student must earn a 3.5 grade-point average or higher to graduate with honors.

Laporte: Anikka Takkunen*, BSN, nursing.

Menahga: Nicholas Treinen, BSME, mechanical engineering.

Osage: Katelyn Jo Weaver*, BSN, nursing.

Park Rapids: Alan Guajardo, BS, computer science.

Local students make NDSU dean’s list

North Dakota State University named 4,322 students to its fall 2024 dean’s list.

A student must earn a 3.5 grade-point average or higher and be enrolled in at least 12 class credits to qualify.

Local students who earned places on the dean’s list and their majors include:

Laporte: James Amundson, marketing; Anikka Takkunen, nursing.

Menahga: Julia Besonen, environmental design; Torrey Carlson, construction management; Jolene LaRea Pickar, architecture.

Osage: Samuel Jackola, industrial engineering & management; Katelyn Jo Weaver, nursing; Tori Weaver, business administration.

Bauman makes Normandale dean’s list

Adam Bauman of Laporte has been named to the 2024 fall semester dean’s list at Normandale Community College in Bloomington.

To earn a spot on the dean’s list, students must be enrolled in at least nine credits and achieve a grade-point average of at least 3.5.
