Some new information regarding Samsung’s upcoming foldables has surfaced. This info comes from PandaFlash X, a tipster. In his X post, he seemingly revealed the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 RAM and storage variants, and also the chip that will fuel the ‘Fold’ model.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Flip 7 SoC, RAM, and storage models tipped
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will ship with 12GB of RAM, and arrive in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options. The tipster also noted that the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy will fuel the phone globally. So there won’t be an Exynos model out there.
In regards to the Galaxy Z Flip 7, the tipster says it’s coming with 12GB of RAM and in 256GB and 512GB storage options. What’s interesting is that he did not share the Galaxy Z Flip 7 SoC.
To some of you, that may suggest that an Exynos SoC will fuel it, or that there will be two different variants that are market-dependent. Well, that is possible. On the other hand, however, the tipster probably doesn’t have that information just yet, so… we can guess all we want.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 could end up utilizing the Exynos 2500 SoC
The fact is, multiple reports have suggested that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will ship with the Exynos 2500 processor. So that sure does remain a strong possibility, at least for a large chunk of units that will be sold.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are expected to arrive in the third quarter of the year. Last year, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 launched in July. Year before that, the devices came in August. So… it could be one or the other this year, we’ll see.
Both of those smartphones are tipped to have the same price tags as their predecessors. A recent report also said that the upcoming phones won’t exactly impress, as Samsung won’t be making major changes.
