Minnesota State College Southeast fall president’s list
A total of 347 students were named to the Minnesota State College Southeast in Red Wing and Winona president’s list for fall semester 2024.
To be eligible for the president’s list, students must complete a minimum of 12 letter-graded credits during an academic term and achieve a grade-point average of at least 3.5.
Local students who made the president’s list include Destiny Kern of Park Rapids and Morgan Furey of Solway.
Local BSU student part of top 10 math team
Bemidji State University (BSU) students placed ninth out of 20 universities in the Jerry Heuer Math Contest, held this year with 66 teams competing.
Matia Erickson of Laporte was among the BSU team members.
Bemidji State, advised by Dr. Dinush Jayasooriya, entered three teams in the competition, with rankings of 23rd, 33rd and 53rd. The university’s top team was recognized for their strong performance. The finish is particularly notable as two of BSU’s teams included juniors and sophomores.
