Xiaomi 15 Ultra hands-on video appears, along with the phone's launch date

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is will arrive later this month, and its hands-on video has just surfaced. That’s not all, the phone’s launch date has also appeared, and it could end up being accurate.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra appears in a hands-on video

Let’s focus on the hands-on video first, shall we? Unfortunately, it’s only a 2-second video, and you can check it out below. It shows us the back side of the phone, the same design that a recently-leaked image delivered.

You will notice a huge camera oreo on the back of this phone. Leica branding is there, and four cameras are included in that camera module. The periscope telephoto unit sits in the top-right corner, while the remaining three cameras are a row below it.

It will feature four cameras on the back, including a 1-inch type sensor

In addition to that periscope telephoto camera, this smartphone will also include a main (wide) camera, a telephoto unit, and an ultrawide camera. Xiaomi is tipped to utilize a 1-inch type sensor for the main camera.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will seemingly use glass on the back of this phone, though a vegan leather model is also a possibility. The frame will likely be flat, though we cannot see it from this angle. The backplate will be slightly curved on all sides, as Xiaomi will likely utilize a quad micro-curved design on both the front and the back.

That camera oreo on the back does protrude, but due to the angle of the shot, we cannot really tell how much. Chances are that it will protrude quite a bit. The phone’s power/lock and volume up and down buttons sit on the right-hand side.

The device is tipped to launch on February 26 in China

In a separate leak, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra launch date has seemingly been revealed. A leaked poster claims that the phone will launch on February 26 in China. The launch event will allegedly start at 7 PM local time.

That could be true, as the global variant of the phone is tipped to arrive during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Both the video and the poster were shared by GizmoChina, but the original source of both was not noted by them.
