Galaxy Z Fold 7 to be based on Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be based on the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, based on a new report. This information comes from Anthony aka TheGalox_, a tipster.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be based on the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, it seems

In an X post, he literally said that the company’s upcoming foldable will be based on the existing one. As many of you know, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition launched in Korea and China only. It arrive to China under a different name.

The tipster claims that not only will the Galaxy Z Fold 7 include bigger displays based on this phone, but a 200-megapixel main camera. That means that the global Galaxy Z Fold series will finally get a camera bump.

He listed some other parts of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition that will transfer over. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have a bigger vapor chamber, a faster chip (of course), and better speakers too.

It is expected to launch in Q3 this year

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to arrive in Q3 this year. It will launch alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7, but we’re still not sure in what month. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 arrive in July last year, but its predecessors launched in August.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will almost certainly utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, globally. That’s something rumors have been saying for a while now. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is a bigger mystery, though, as it could end up using the Exynos 2500, at least in some markets.

We are hoping that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will also be thinner and lighter than its predecessor. The competition from China has really been pushing the ante in both of those areas. So… Samsung does have a lot of competition out there, and needs to start changing things up.
