OPPO has been teasing its upcoming foldable phone, the Find N5 for the past couple of weeks. Finally confirming the launch event will take place on February 20 in Singapore, this morning. We’ve seen pictures of the device with the screen off, but now, there’s an entire unboxing that has appeared on YouTube.
The YouTube Channel, GeekCulture has posted a Short where they unboxed the OPPO Find N5, in what appears to be the Cosmic Black color. OPPO Confirmed that name today on X. The video does show that this is a UK model of the Find N5. That doesn’t necessarily confirm that it is coming to the UK as the Find N5, as Singapore does also use the UK plug. Keep in mind, the launch event is happening in Singapore. There is a Type-G plug included, with a USB-C cable. There is also a nice faux leather case that is included in the box. It’s still USB-A to USB-C, so that means the faster charging is going to be using USB-A, hopefully, USB-C PD doesn’t get the shaft this time around.
OPPO could launch the best foldable yet, on February 20
For many of us, we’ve been waiting for a successor to the Find 3, since last fall. Keep in mind, that the OPPO Find N3 and OnePlus Open launched in October of 2023, so it’s been almost a year and a half since its predecessor was put on sale. And in that time, both devices have been lauded as the best foldable on the market in many aspects.
Now, with the OPPO Find N5, the company has made quite a few changes. Like essentially eliminating the crease in the display. It has also upped the charging speed to 80W according to leaks and added wireless charging at 50W. Along with a much larger battery. The Find N3 already had a pretty large battery for a foldable, but the Find N5 has a large battery for smartphones in general – rumored to be 5,600mAh.
This is one of the phones that we are truly excited to see launch in the next few weeks, here at AndroidHeadlines. And that doesn’t happen often, with the number of phones we get to check out.
