Everything Announced at the February PlayStation State of Play – Newsweek

Sony’s first big PlayStation State of Play for the year kicked off last night, bringing with it a host of announcements, both big and small, from first-party developers and third-party publishers. The stream lasted for a little over 40 minutes, and revealed new titles, remasters, and release dates for previously announced games.

We’ve collated every announcement from the February State of Play here for your convenience, with trailers, details, and release dates where possible.

Warriors: Abyss – Out Now

Warriors: Abyss is a roguelite game from Koei Tecmo based on the Dynasty Warriors franchise. It’s available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC now, with a Switch version coming at some point today.

Splitgate 2 Alpha – February 27, 2025

An alpha for Splitgate 2, a portal-based 8v8v8 competitive shooter, will go live on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC later this month, with the full game set to be released later this year.

Days Gone Remastered – April 25, 2025

A remaster of the 2019 action-adventure zombie game from Bend Studio, Days Gone, is being released in April on PS5 and PC, bringing a host of graphical updates and new modes. Owners of the PS4 or existing PC version can upgrade to the new version for $10.

Dave the Diver: Ichiban’s Holiday (DLC) – April 2025

Dave the Diver is crossing over with Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, bringing main character Ichiban to the game as a playable character in paid DLC this April. The DLC will be available on PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Metal Eden – May 6, 2025

Metal Eden is a unique sci-fi first-person-shooter game from Reikon Games, the developer of Ruiner. It will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in May.

The Midnight Walk – May 8, 2025

The Midnight Walk, a dark fantasy adventure game built entirely in clay, was revealed in the last State of Play, and now has a release date in May for both PS5 and PC.

Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny – May 23, 2025

A remaster of the classic 3D hack-and-slash Onimusha 2 was announced a little over a week ago at a Capcom event, and has now been revealed to be releasing on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in May.

Lost Soul Aside – May 30, 2025

Lost Soul Aside, an action RPG from developer UltiZero Games, will be released on PS5 and PC in May, with preorders opening on February 19.

Five Nights At Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic – June 12, 2025

The next game in the wildly popular Five Nights At Freddy’s series, Secret of the Mimic, showed gameplay for the first time during the presentation, and will be released on PS5, PSVR2, and PC in June.

Stellar Blade x Goddess of Victory: Nikke (DLC) – June 2025

Stellar Blade developer Shift Up is bringing new content from Goddess of Victory: Nikke, one of its earlier games, to Stellar Blade in new DLC in June. Stellar Blade is also getting a release on PC on the same day.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – August 28, 2025

The long-awaited remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 finally has a release date after being accidentally revealed last week, with the game set to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 28. The PS5 and PC versions will include Snake vs Monkey, a minigame that featured in Metal Gear Solid 3 on PS2 but has been absent in subsequent releases. The Xbox version of the game will instead seemingly get Snake vs Bomberman.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance – August 29, 2025

A new game in the legendary Shinobi series, subtitled Art of Vengeance, is coming from the developer of Streets of Rage 4. The new game will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in August.

Hell is Us – September 4, 2025

Mordheim developer Rogue Factor revealed that its next game, Hell is Us, will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in September.

Borderlands 4 – September 23, 2025

Gearbox’s darling looter shooter Borderlands has its next entry in Borderlands 4, which is set to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in September.

Directive 8020 – October 2, 2025

Supermassive Games, the developer of the Dark Pictures anthology, has revealed the next game in the series, Directive 8020, a futuristic sci-fi horror game. It will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in early October.

Lies of P: Overture (DLC) – Summer 2025

Puppet-themed soulslike Lies of P is getting a major expansion subtitled Overture in Summer. The new DLC acts as a prequel to the main game, and will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this Summer.

MindsEye – Summer 2025

The next game from former Grand Theft Auto developer Leslie Benzies, an action-adventure thriller called MindsEye, was announced to be coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this Summer.

Darwin’s Paradox! – 2025

Konami announced a new game during the State of Play — it’s called Darwin’s Paradox, and it has you playing as an octopus. It’s coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC at some point this year.

Digimon Story Time Stranger – 2025

The first new Digimon Story game in eight years has finally been revealed after a lengthy development period. It was first announced to be in development in 2017, and will see players embarking into the Digital World and befriending Digimon in a story focused on the Olympos XII. It’s coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC at some point in 2025.

Dreams of Another – 2025

Dreams of Another is a new game in the PixelJunk series from Q-Games. It’s a third-person exploration-action game, and it’s coming to PS5 and PSVR2 this year.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword – 2026

Onimusha: Way of the Sword got a new gameplay trailer, and fans agree it’s looking great. It’s not due to be released until 2026.

Saros – 2026

Sony subsidiary Housemarque, best known for 2021’s Returnal, is back with a brand-new game called Saros. It will be released in 2026 on PS5, and more gameplay is set to be released later this year.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds – TBA

A new Sonic Racing game called Sonic Racing CrossWorlds was revealed during the show, and it looks like it has a lot of customization and fun gimmicks. It will be released on PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, but no release date has been set.

Tides of Annihilation – TBA

Tides of Annihilation is a new single-player action-adventure game from Eclipse Glow Studio featuring “dynamic, fast-paced, and deeply engaging combat.” It’s coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with no release date announced.
