Google has introduced a powerful new update to its AI assistant, making conversations smarter and more connected.
Now, Gemini can recall past chats to offer more relevant responses, as per Google’s blog post.
For instance, if you asked about the Milky Way earlier in the week, you can simply say, “Summarise our discussion,” and Gemini will recap it without the need to scroll through old conversations.
This upgrade goes beyond remembering preferences, allowing the assistant to reference full past discussions. Plus, you can easily review, manage, or delete your chat history via the ‘Gemini Apps Activity’ section under your profile.
Currently, the chat recall feature is limited to Gemini Advanced subscribers on the Google One AI Premium Plan and only available in English. However, Google plans to expand it to more languages and Workspace customers soon.

Additionally, 9to5Google reports that Gemini Live is getting smarter, with an improved understanding of languages, accents, and translations, powered by the latest Gemini 2.0 AI model. Multimodal capabilities, such as handling text, audio, and video, are on the horizon, along with screen sharing and live video streaming.
With these updates, Gemini is evolving into one of the most powerful AI assistants, offering a richer, more personalised experience. While rivals pose a threat, DeepSeek AI has already been banned in South Korea.
