NXP India Tech Startup Challenge 2025
The semiconductor and electronics industry has long been the backbone of modern technology, powering everything from smartphones to autonomous vehicles and smart cities. However, building a sustainable ecosystem in this domain requires more than just ideas—it demands access to cutting-edge resources, mentorship, and global networking opportunities.
This is precisely what NXP India Tech Startup Challenge 2025 aims to provide. The initiative is not just another startup competition—it is a structured platform designed to empower early-stage startups with the tools they need to scale their innovations.
Over the past four seasons, this initiative has supported startups working in AI, IoT, semiconductor design, edge computing, ultra-wideband, Wi-Fi 6, and beyond. The challenge has played a crucial role in bridging the gap between research-driven innovations and industry applications, helping startups transition from ideation to market-ready solutions.
NXP Tech Challenge: What’s there for Startups?
The challenge is not just about recognition; it offers tangible benefits that can accelerate a startup’s growth:
Prize Money: The top three winning startups will share INR 10 lakhs, helping them advance their product development and operations.
Exclusive Mentorship: Winners will gain access to a structured mentorship program with NXP India’s top tech leaders, featuring three interactive sessions per month for three months.
Global Exposure: The top three startups will secure finalist positions in the Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC), where they will be evaluated by a panel of elite global investors, gaining unparalleled visibility.
Incubation & Resources: The top 10 startups will benefit from:
🔹 Electropreneur Park’s pre-incubation program, including state-of-the-art lab access and prototyping support.
🔹 SFAL’s semiconductor-focused cohort program, offering business guidance, specialized tools, and funding mentorship.
🔹 INCeNSE at IISc Bengaluru, providing access to nanofabrication and characterization facilities, faculty mentorship, and networking opportunities.
This year’s challenge is targeting startups working in:
- Automotive – Electrification, in-vehicle networking, ADAS, and autonomous driving.
- Industrial & IoT – Smart cities, logistics, factory automation, robotics, and energy management.
- Healthcare – Personal devices, diagnostics, monitoring, and medical therapy.

Who Can Apply for NXP Tech Challenge?
The challenge is open to technology startups incorporated in India as Private Limited Companies, with at least 51% Indian ownership. Eligible startups should be working in:
- IP/Processor development
- Semiconductor fabless ASIC design
- Embedded product development
- Cutting-edge domains such as AI, ML, IoT, 5G, Edge Computing, Functional Safety, Ultra-Wideband, Wi-Fi 6, and more
