HONOR had plenty to say at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The company announced its ‘HONOR Alpha Plan’, which includes a major investment and also a 7-year commitment to Android OS updates. In addition to that, HONOR just announced a new tablet, watch, and earbuds at MWC 2025.
The devices in question are the HONOR Pad V9, HONOR Watch 5 Ultra, and HONOR Earbuds Open. All of these products just got announced for global markets. Let’s talk a bit about each of them, shall we?
HONOR Pad V9
The HONOR Pad V9 is an 11.5-inch tablet. It has a 144Hz display with a 2800 x 1840 resolution. The screen-to-body ratio is at around 88%. This tablet comes in White and Gray colors and weighs 475 grams.
There are eight speakers included inside it, and it offers Hi-Res audio. HONOR Sound is a part of the equation, as is DTS X: Ultra and Spatial Audio. The MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Elite is here to fuel the device, while HONOR announced both 8GB and 12GB RAM models. Both of them come with 256GB of storage.
A 10,100mAh battery sits on the inside, while the device supports 35W wired charging. Android 15 comes pre-installed here, with MagicOS 9.0. A stylus doesn’t come included, but the device does support it.
HONOR Watch 5 Ultra
The HONOR Watch 5 Ultra is HONOR’s new smartwatch. This smartwatch has a frame made out of titanium and a “ceramic-like” back cover. It comes in both variants with rubber and leather straps.
There is a 1.5-inch round AMOLED screen on the front, with a resolution of 466 x 466. The watch weighs 51.8 grams without the strap, and it is 5 ATM and IP68 certified.
A 480mAh battery sits on the inside, and HONOR says you can get up to 15 days of use under ‘typical usage conditions’. 8GB of storage is also included here, while Android 9.0+ and iOS 13.0+ OS’ are supported.
HONOR Earbuds Open
The HONOR Earbuds Open are the company’s new open-ear type earbuds. They come with an ear hook design and are meant to be used by sporty people first and foremost. HONOR says these earbuds have the industry’s thinnest charging compartment with a premium leather texture design.
Each earbud weighs 7.9 grams, and they come in Polar Gold and Polar Black colors. HONOR says they offer “acoustic-grade sound quality.” A 16mm toroidal multi-magnetic circuit unit is included here, along with a highly sensitive speaker with extra large amplitude.
These also deliver “industry-first virtual bass algorithm”. You will also get active noise cancellation for Open-Ear Design here and Spatial Audio support too. There are touchpads included on each earbud and a 58mAh battery too.
HONOR says that a 58mAh battery sits in each earbud, and the charging case has a 480mAh battery on the inside. These earbuds are IP54 certified and support Bluetooth 5.2.
HONOR MagicBook Pro 14
And last, but not least, the HONOR MagicBook Pro 14. This is HONOR’s new Windows-based laptop, It’s quite light at 1.37 grams, and as its name says, it includes a 14-inch display. It is a 3.1K OLED display that is touch-sensitive.
HONOR refers to this design as the ‘vine-leaft curves design’, and the device comes in Starry Gray and White colors. It is fueled by the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and has a great battery life. A 92Wh battery sits on the inside, by the way.
