Xiaomi unveils Hyper AI, stealing the show at MWC

Xiaomi has been one of the top hardware companies in the world. However, it, like many other hardware companies, has pivoted toward AI. During MWC, where the company unveiled the Xiaomi 15 series, Xiaomi introduced us all to Hyper AI.

This is the company’s suite of AI tools. It’s Xiaomi’s equivalent of Galaxy AI or Apple Intelligence. As such, you’ll only be able to use it on Xiaomi’s devices. Hyper AI will make its way to several Xiaomi devices, as the company announced.

Xiaomi unveils Hyper AI at MWC

We’re just past the first day of MWC, and we’re already seeing some interesting technology. Since AI is the biggest innovation since humanity discovered fire, you can expect there to be a ton of companies showing off AI in some capacity.

Among the companies, we have Xiaomi. The Chinese company showed off its answer to the top AI platforms on the market. Hyper AI comes with the typical slew of AI tools that you’d see on other platforms.

Of course, you have your standard text generation services. So, you’ll be able to summarize text and do spell checks. Along with that, there are translation and dictation services that generate text from your speech.

There are also photo editing AI tools that we’ve seen on other platforms. This includes Xiaomi’s version of Magic Eraser and a reflection remover. On a more exciting note, there’s an image extender that lets you take a photo and zoom out by generating content around the original image.

Taking a note from Samsung’s book, there’s an AI tool that will generate an image from a simple sketch. So, there will be no shortage of photo generation tools.

Here’s something that we don’t see too often with AI suites. Hyper AI will come with a video generator tool. Since AI video is really kicking off, we can definitely see a ton of people using this tool.

Lastly, the company announced a partnership with Google. They will integrate Gemini into Xiaomi Notes, Calendar, and Clock.

Hyper AI will come to the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14T, Xiaomi 14T Pro, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi MIX Flip, Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro, and Redmi Note 14 Pro in April.

It’s also extending HyperOS 2.0 to more phones over the next couple of months including the Xiaomi Pad 6, Xiaomi Pad Pro 5G, Redmi Pad Prp, Redmi Pad SE 8.7 4G, Redmi Pad SE 8.7, and Redmi Pad SE. These devices will receive the update in May.

Lastly, the Redmi Note 14 series comprising of the 4G and 5G versions of the vanilla and pro models and the Pro+ 5G will get it between March and June.
