Not sold on the Pixel 9a? Visible will give you a free iPhone 16e instead

The Google Pixel 9a is now official, and while there are plenty of ways to get it for free, what if you aren’t impressed and are looking for an alternative budget phone? If you don’t mind considering an Apple device, Visible is offering you the opportunity to own the iPhone 16e for nothing right now.

As you might guess, there are a few minor strings here. Chiefly, you’ll need to sign up for Visible Plus and buy an iPhone 16e outright. As long as you stay with Visible for 24 months, you’ll get $600 in monthly bill credits, effectively making the device free. Can’t afford to pay upfront? You can still get this deal by setting up a payment plan with Affirm (pending credit approval). You’ll pay monthly payments on financing, but Visible’s 24-month discount will pay you back.

This is honestly a much better deal than most free phone plans you’d get from a traditional postpaid carrier. For one, you don’t necessarily have to use financing. Two, if you really hate Visible your iPhone 16e should be unlocked after roughly 60 days, so you can take it elsewhere without any repercussions (other than you will obviously lose your remaining monthly repayment discount if you cancel phone service early.).

The big question you might have is whether Visible Plus is any good. It’s honestly my number one recommendation for most users, so yes. Not only does Visible Plus give you unlimited data, but you also get 50GB of data at the same priority as you’d get with Verizon’s more expensive postpaid plans. There are also some nice international perks and the ability to use your hotspot as much as you want, though the speeds via hotspot will be throttled to 10Mbps. That’s still plenty functional for something that lets you consume (occasionally at least) hundreds of gigabytes without a fuss, though.
