Samsung has kept its fans waiting a long time for One UI 7. However, at least the company has been delivering security patches on time for all its eligible devices. Earlier today, we reported on the arrival of the latest monthly patch for the Galaxy S25 series. The company is also rolling out the March 2025 security update to the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy A53, Galaxy A25, and Galaxy A15.
This week, Samsung sent the security patch to the Galaxy S24 FE and S21 FE. For some reason, the S23 FE wasn’t included at that time, which was a bit strange. However, it didn’t take long for the company to begin the OTA rollout for that model as well.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 FE in September 2023 with some support surrounding it. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. If you’re not aware, this is the chip that Samsung itself “ruined” due to problems in its factories, presenting issues with heating and power consumption. On the other hand, the Galaxy A53, Galaxy A25, and Galaxy A15 are mid-range and entry-level devices. The oldest among them is the Galaxy A53, which the company announced in March 2022. Meanwhile, both the Galaxy A25 and Galaxy A15 hit the market in December 2023.
March 2025 security update now reaching the Galaxy S23 FE, A53, A25, and A15
That said, all of the aforementioned phones are receiving the latest monthly patch. As reported by SamMobile, the update is reaching the international version (SM-S711B) of the Galaxy S23 FE under build number S711BXXS6DYBH.
Regarding the Galaxy A53, the update is currently reaching units in South and North America. The firmware for this device has the build number A536EXXSDEYBD. In the case of the Galaxy A25 (build number A256EXXS7BYC3) and Galaxy A15 (build number A156EDXS5BYB1), the updates are currently rolling out to carrier-locked units in countries across Asia, Central America, and the Middle East.
It’s noteworthy that all of these handsets have the same update policy. Samsung promised up to four years of Android OS upgrades. So, even older models are eligible to receive One UI 7. That said, their owners will likely have to be very patient.
