ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – On November 16, A+ Donuts held a car show and toy drive fundraiser at Southern Chevrolet in Alexandria from 12-5 p.m.
The car show featured several cars, from classics to newer vehicles. Organizers said they hope to make the event an annual occurrence.
Along with the car show, attendees were treated to a bounce house, dunk tank, face painting, egg runs, food trucks and a live DJ.
Organizers said the event was all about the kids.
“We were thinking about the less fortunate kids,” said Neshia Poul, owner of A+ Donuts. “We wanted to make sure they had a good Christmas so we thought of this event. And of course we like cars. So, that also helped.”
According to organizers, the money raised at the event would go towards a toy drive in December. So far no date has been set.
A+ Donuts is located in Ball at 4902 Monroe Highway.
