AH Real Deal: Game anywhere with the Lenovo Legion Go at $550

Lenovo’s Legion Go handheld is arguably one of the cooler and more unique handheld gaming PCs out there, and now Best Buy has it for just $549.99. Which isn’t a bad price at all.

There are a few things worth mentioning here about this price though. This is not the lowest we’ve seen it. In fact, it was lower back on December 2 and even further back on October 28. The deal in October was for the 512GB model (the same as today’s deal) and it was priced at $499. The deal from December 2 was for Cyber Monday, and the 1TB model was down to today’s $549.99 price. Which in all honesty was a noticeably better value.

That being said, Best Buy’s price today on the 512GB Lenovo Legion Go is still a good deal because it saves you $150 and a handheld like this one is pretty awesome to have. Not just for portable PC gaming, but because of its detachable controllers. The Legion Go’s unique trait is these controllers. When you disengage them from the main unit, the right one can be placed in an included desktop base that lets you use the right controller as a vertical mouse.

So if you play a lot of shooter games, this is a pretty nice advantage. In addition to this, you can simply use both the left and right controllers like you would the Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons. Meanwhile, the Legion Go can be propped up on the table with a kickstand. The Legion Go also offers remappable back buttons, an 8.8-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 49Wh battery. Additionally, it’s powered by the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme APU which is considerably powerful for handheld PC gaming. If you don’t want to invest in a gaming laptop, then go for something like this instead. Then you can have a nice, big, powerful desktop at home. Meanwhile, the Legion Go can be your portable gaming machine that is away from home.
