Google’s Pixel 9a is the latest device in the Pixel lineup, and while it technically doesn’t launch until May 1, Best Buy is actually offering a really good deal on pre-orders for this phone.
The pricing is set at $499, so the phone itself is the regular price, however, Best Buy is also giving you a $100 gift card with the purchase of the device. So you end up getting $100 out of it to spend on anything you want at Best Buy. That’s a pretty good deal, we’d say.
The Pixel 9a is loaded with useful features, including Google’s Gemini AI. You can use Gemini Live inside the Gemini app that comes on your phone and get answers to questions. The best part about it, though, is that you can talk to Gemini Live as if you were having a conversation with another person in real life. So everything sounds and feels natural.
In addition to Gemini features, the Pixel 9a also has AI-powered camera features. For example, you can take photos with the phone and then touch them up in a number of ways. Say you were getting a picture of some family members, and then someone in the background passes through the shot. You can use the AI features to remove them from the background. There are also features for erasing background audio in recorded videos if things are too noisy.
It also has an IP68 water and dust-resistance rating, and it comes in a few different color options, including Obsidian, Iris, Porcelain, and Peony. Plus, it will get 7 years of Android software updates for the OS as well as security and feature drops.
