AH Real Deal: Snag LG's 42-inch OLED Flex TV for under $1,700

Right now Amazon is offering a pretty good deal on the LG 4K OLED Flex Smart TV, bringing the price down by over $1,300. That’s a pretty huge discount and one we wouldn’t pass up if you’re in the market for a nice TV upgrade. Normally this TV at full price costs $3,000. So this isn’t quite half off but it’s still a big discount.

This isn’t the lowest we’ve seen it either, as it was $999 back during Prime Day. That being said, this is a huge savings outside of those big sale events. Although this is a TV it can easily be used as a PC monitor and a monitor for your consoles. Plus, the flexible nature of the display makes it a little more reasonable to use on top of a desk. Especially since you’ll be sitting closer to it this way.

The flex feature is great for added immersion as it was designed this way to cover some of your peripheral vision. So it works similarly to the curved ultrawide monitors you can buy. It’s also a 4K panel and comes with several gaming features. This includes NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium, in addition to its native 120Hz refresh rate. The refresh rate alone is a decent reason to buy this TV if you plan to use it for console gaming.

It comes with a Super Anti Reflective coating on it as well. If you’ve ever dealt with bad glare on the screen, then this should be music to your ears. The best part about the flex feature is that it’s controlled with the remote. You just have to press the dedicated button to give the display that curve. On top of this, there are 20 levels of curved you can set.
