ASUS’s ROG Ally X is the gaming handheld to beat these days and right now you can pick it up for less than usual thanks to Best Buy’s Cyber Monday sale. The handheld comes in two variants – one with a 1TB SSD and one with a 2TB SSD. All of the other components and features are the same. The variant that’s on sale is the 1TB model and it normally retails for $799.99 at full price. However, Best Buy’s Cyber Monday sale has the price come down to $699.99.
This is the first time we’ve seen the ROG Ally X on sale so if you haven’t yet purchased a handheld, now is the time to grab one. You can also find less expensive options like the MSI Claw which is still on sale as well, although it has dropped in price by a few bucks since last week.
If you’re looking for the best handheld available, however, stick with the ROG Ally X. It comes out on top with battery life, performance, and several other features. It’s also more ergonomic and offers a better experience overall. Both are great though. In my personal experience, the ROG Ally X is a joy to play games on. Since it runs on Windows 11, you can play games from Steam, the EA app, Battle.net, Ubisoft Connect, and more.
You get a 7-inch 120Hz display with this device and it’s powered by the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chipset. It also has 24GB of RAM. What’s nice is that you also aren’t limited to the 1TB SSD for game storage. The ROG Ally X also supports microSD card storage. So you can easily have a few terabytes of space for games.
