Prime Day might be over, but many of the deals are still live. That includes one for the Samsung S90D OLED TV. Currently, the 65-inch model is on sale for $1,399, which’s good for $800 off of its regular price and an all-time low price.
Other sizes are also on sale, with the 42-inch at $997, 48-inch at $1,047, 55-inch at $1,297, 77-inch at $2,497 and finally the 83-inch is $3,797. However we feel that the deal on the 65-inch is the best of them all, and perfect for most people.
The Samsung S90D came out earlier this year, and it has received rave reviews, which makes this pricing even more impressive. Many reviews have said that the Samsung S90D offers incredibly wide viewing angles, which makes it great for watching sports and TV shows with a large group. Since this is a QD-OLED TV, the brightness is also remarkable, and it delivers incredible contrast and excellent HDR brightness.
This is actually Samsung’s mid-level OLED offering, however we do feel that when you factor in the price, this is the best option on the market right now. Of course, there’s always going to be something better when money is no object. The one that is better, is the S95D which is currently about $1,000 more than the regular price of the S90D.
The S90D does run Samsung’s Tizen OS, which has all of your favorite apps. These include Netflix, YouTube, Max, Disney Plus and so much more. The remote on the S90D is also very minimal and super easy to use. That might sound like a small thing, but these days with TVs being able to do so much, the remote ends up being way more complicated than it needs to be.
The only real downside with the S90D is the fact that it is missing Dolby Vision HDR. This is a thing with all of Samsung’s TVs. None of them support Dolby Vision, instead they support HDR10 which is an open source standard for HDR.
