AH Real Deal: The Pixel 8a is back to its Black Friday price

Google’s Pixel 8a, even when available at its full price of $499 is an excellent value smartphone, but this deal from Amazon is bringing it back to its Black Friday price of $399. So you end up saving $100 and you get one of the best phones available at a more affordable price.

The Google Pixel 8a is just about the same as the regular Pixel 8 model, save for a few details that allowed Google to drop the retail price a bit. One of those things is the battery, which is a bit smaller in capacity and it doesn’t charge as fast. However, the Pixel 8a still has pretty decent battery life considering. You’ll also get a nice display size of 6.1 inches. Although it does have a lower peak brightness.

It has updated camera sensors though, so it will take really nice photos and that’s one of the main reasons to get a Pixel phone in the first place. Not to mention, there are tons of AI-assisted photo features to help make those pictures look even better. For instance, there’s the Best Take feature. This takes any similar photos you may have and combines them into the best option for that perfect shot with friends and family.

There’s also the Magic Editor if you want to let the AI make some edits to various details in the photo. Additionally, there’s the Audio Magic Eraser for stripping out some of the background audio in a video recording. The Pixel 8a has Gemini integration as well, and that can come in handy in all sorts of situations. Google makes this device in a few different colors, too, and all of them are on sale for the $399 price.
