MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Alabama Department of Transportation is in the final planning stages for its bicycle and pedestrian plan.
The plan helps establish a vision for bicycling and walking as modes of transportation in Alabama. It helps guide investment in bicycle and pedestrian facilities that maximize limited available funding.
During a meeting, ALDOT officials had the chance to tell people how they’re planning on building out transit infrastructure, while getting feedback from neighbors.
ALDOT is taking public comments on the project through Dec. 31. To provide feedback, visit ALDOT’s webpage and search for the public involvement comment form.
