Amazfit Active 2 Smartwatch Is a Luxurious Upgrade

Amazfit has revealed its latest smartwatch, the Amazfit Active 2. The watch is a health tracker first and foremost, but it also won’t stand out as much as a typical health band or Apple Watch.

The Amazfit Active 2 has several improvements over the first Amazfit Active, and has two versions available: a standard model and a premium model. The premium version comes with a stainless steel body, a durable sapphire glass screen, a genuine leather strap, and a sporty red silicone strap for workouts. The standard version has a stainless steel body with red or black silicone straps. Both versions feature a 1.32-inch round AMOLED display that is very bright, reaching up to 2,000 nits, making it easy to see even in sunlight, which is an upgrade from the first watch.

The Amazfit Active 2 smartwatch has an advanced BioTracker 6.0 sensor with a dual-LED setup for more accurate health monitoring. It features improved heart rate and sleep tracking algorithms, similar to those in the Amazfit T-Rex 3. The watch also has a barometer to measure altitude and an accelerometer and gyroscope to better track sleep and movement. An ambient light sensor adjusts the display brightness for better visibility.

The battery lasts about 10 days with regular use. The watch includes Zepp Flow, which lets you control settings and manage your calendar using your voice. Android users can reply to messages using a keyboard or speech-to-text feature.

The Amazfit Active 2 smartwatch comes with more than 160 different sports modes, including a special mode for HYROX races and a smart Strength Training mode that can automatically recognize exercises and track your repetitions, sets, and rest times. It also supports winter sports like skiing. The watch features offline maps with turn-by-turn directions using five satellite systems. You can listen to the directions through its built-in speaker or via Bluetooth headphones. There’s also a daily Readiness score that summarizes your physical and mental recovery, along with useful insights and heart rate variability data for better recovery tracking.

The Amazfit Active 2 is now up for pre-order in the U.S. on the official Amazfit website, with a global release planned for February. The regular version costs $99.99, while the premium version is priced at $129.99.
