As it gets ever closer to the new year it also gets closer to the new crop of GPUs coming from companies like AMD, and it seems that AMD’s upcoming Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs have now leaked with model names and potential pricing. AMD has not officially announced any of these GPUs yet but according to leaker All The Watts! on X (via Hot Hardware) there will be several new graphics cards coming in the 9000 series alone.
There will also be a few cards in the 8000 series. As well as a few new cards in the 7000 series. With regard to the 8000 and 7000 series GPUs, the 8000 series will apparently have at least three models coming. This includes the Radeon RX 8040S, 8050S, and 8060S. These are suspected to be AMD’s Ryzen AI Max chips. Meanwhile, the Radeon RX 7650 and 7750 could be entirely new GPUs or renamed models of existing cards that come in at lower price points.
Leaked AMD Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs to go all the way up to the RX 9070
AMD’s 9000 series will be the company’s top-tier graphics cards and according to the leak, it will include models all the way up to the Radeon RX 9070. There will be a few different SKUs for the Radeon RX 9070. This includes the RX 9070, RX 9070M, RX 9070S, RX 9070 XT, and RX 9070M XT. The 9000 series is also rumored to include the RX 9040, RX 9050, and RX 9060.
The leaker doesn’t mention it, but it’s also reasonable to assume that AMD will have additional mobile versions of these graphics cards coming at some point.
Pricing is rumored to start at around $179
In addition to the leaked model names, there are also some price ranges that have been rumored. The leaker says pricing will start at around $179 and could go up to $349. This would be for GPUs based on the smaller Navi 44 design. The more powerful models based on the Navi 48 design are rumored to start at around $449 and could go up to $649.
The leak also mentions potential performance comparisons, but only for the RX 9070 XT. If accurate, then the RX 9070 XT is expected to be slightly less powerful than the RX 7900 XT. It will be slightly more powerful than the RX 7900 GRE model. Meanwhile, AMD’s next line of CPUs based on the Zen 6 architecture is suspected to have been delayed until 2027. AMD also recently announced earlier this year that it would let you divert RAM for gaming laptops.
