Another Glimpse of Tesla's Model Y Juniper Sparks Fresh Speculation – HotCars

Tesla
has not yet released the super secretive Model Y Juniper redesign, but it keeps popping up on roadways around the world. This time, the world’s best-selling car has been spotted driving down a highway in the rain. It has been speculated that many of the changes are on the front and back of the car, which appears to be true based on the camouflaging.

As far as automotive giants go, Tesla is comparatively a spring chicken. That said, it has not stopped the manufacturer going from strength to strength since its inception in 2003. Tesla’s electric vehicles have taken the world by storm, and since the debut of their first car model, the Roadster, they have proven that they’re here to stay, thanks to some incredible vehicles like the Model 3, and the Model X, not to mention their performance-oriented Plaid editions.

The Highly Anticipated Tesla Model Y Juniper

Rumors about the Model Y Juniper have been swirling for most of 2024, with very little legitimate confirmation. Tesla isn’t one for major redesigns, which means we have to pick out the small changes from the occasional spotting on the road. This time, the Juniper was spotted on a highway in the rain earlier this week.

From the images, the side mirrors look a little different, and the front end definitely has some changes. Even though the front is covered with camouflaging, it looks more like the Model S/X than it used to. A rear lightbar covering the back end has been one of the major changes people have been discussing, and it does appear to be hiding under some camouflage in these images.

The video on X of the Juniper driving down the highway mostly camouflages the front and rear, indicating that most changes will be in those areas. The doors look pretty much the same, as do the windshield wipers. Even though the road looks pretty bouncy, the suspension on the Juniper seems to be keeping things smooth. There has been discussion of a suspension update, which appears to be true with the quick video captured.

What Do We Know About The Model Y Juniper?

We obviously know there are some changes on the front and back of the Model Y Juniper, which will be a major upgrade for the Model Y. While we haven’t gotten a look at the interior yet, upgrades with the touchscreen and seats are almost guaranteed. Tesla has always had more of a timeless design language, and these changes are minimal but will have a big impact.

The Model Y isn’t just popular in the US but has been a major global success. It hasn’t seen many changes over the last four years, so it is due for a refresh.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted the Juniper on the Fremont Factory lot a few months back, so we hope it is coming out sometime soon.
