The RedMagic 10 Pro smartphone, which is a global variant of the RedMagic 10 Pro+, came with a 7,000mAh battery. We’ve reviewed that smartphone recently. Well, it seems like another smartphone with a 7,000mAh battery is coming.
Another smartphone is coming with a 7,000mAh battery
The device in question is the POCO F7. Digital Chat Station. That is one of the most prominent tipsters in the business, went to Weibo to say that new phones with a 7,000mAh battery are coming. He also mentioned the Snapdragon 8s Elite chip in his post. On top of that, April was mentioned as the launch date.
A tipster called Sanju Choudhary, threw in the POCO F7 in the mix, claiming that is one of the devices the tipster was talking about. That phone is expected to include a 1.5K LTPS AMOLED display too. 90W wired charging was also mentioned.
As many of you know, POCO is Xiaomi’s sub-brand. The ‘F’ series POCO phones are the most powerful ones the company launched. So, this does make sense.
The POCO F7 could be one of the phones with such a large battery
Based on what the tipster said, this could be the base POCO F7 model, but the ‘Pro’ variant is also expected. We’re not sure if the Snapdragon 8 Elite will be used in the ‘Pro’ model, or the Snapdragon 8s Elite.
That Snapdragon 8s Elite chip was not announced just yet. Chances are we won’t see it launched that soon either. It will be inferior to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, that’s for sure.
We’re not sure what other phones will include a 7,000mAh battery, but Digital Chat Station seems to think there are more of them coming. That’s all made possible thanks to silicon-carbon batteries that the companies have started using. Those batteries are also one of the reasons book-style foldables can be as thin as they are.
