Apple has just rereleased watchOS 11.4 to the public – AppleInsider

watchOS 11.4 has been reissued

It looks like you can finally update your Apple Watch to watchOS 11.4.

Apple had released watchOS 11.4 briefly on Monday, before quickly pulling it down — roughly two minutes after it went live. Now, it seems as though Apple has reissued the update, once again making it available for download.

It is not clear why the update was pulled in the first place.

As with the initial release, only notable new feature in watchOS 11.4 is a brand new “Break Through Silent Mode” alarm option in Sound & Haptics. This means that if you wear your Apple Watch to bed, sound and haptics will play when waking a user with an alarm, regardless of whether or not Silent Mode is toggled on.

Previous to this, if Silent Mode was enabled, the Apple Watch would only use haptics as part of its alarm.

Like many of the other OS updates rolling out, the Apple Watch has Matter support for robotic vacuums and mops. Users can use their voice to tell the vacuum to start or stop cleaning, to return to its dock, to enable or disable the mopping function, and to switch cleaning modes.

And, as always, Apple has included a fair number of quality-of-life updates for the Apple Watch, such as fixing bugs and enhancing the system’s underlying stability and performance. Updates like these are crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of the devices and ensuring that new features introduced in previous versions operate at their best.

In September 2024, Apple unveiled watchOS 11, introducing several notable enhancements to the Apple Watch. New features included customizable Activity Rings, advanced health monitoring capabilities through the Vitals app, and a new Training Load tool specifically designed for athletes.

The watchOS 11.4 update is build number 22T251.
