Apple (AAPL) CEO Tim Cook lost faith in AI head John Giannandrea to execute on product development and drafted in Vision Pro creator Mike Rockwell to oversee Siri, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports. In a new role, Rockwell will be in charge of the Siri virtual assistant and will report to software chief Craig Federighi, according to people familiar with the matter. Apple is expected to announce the changes to employees this week, Gurman writes. Rockwell is currently the vice president in charge of the Vision Products Group.
